One Call for Kids

One Call for Kids is the one number to call when you need assistance in finding help for your child. Skilled and knowledgeable professionals will guide you toward the help that your child needs. One Call for Kids is available to assist parents, physicians, childcare providers and others who have concerns about the learning, development, socialization or behavior of young children from birth to five years of age.

One Call for Kids offers:

  • Assistance with identifying the you services you need
  • Assistance with linking to needed services
  • Developmental screening education and training
  • Assistance with use of Ages and Stages and Ages and Stages Social Emotional Questionnaires (ASQ & ASQ:SE)

One Call for Kids staff will:

  • Listen to your concerns and help you decide which referrals are right for you, your child and family
  • Identify and link you to appropriate services available in the community which may include referrals to the Assessment Center for Children and other Exceptional Parents Unlimited programs
  • Offer support for developmental screening and monitoring

One Call for Kids has developed collaborative relationships with many local community agencies and providers serving young children in Fresno County. Those relationships support One Call for Kids with linking families to them for services.

One Call for Kids frequently makes referrals for the following services:

  • California Early Start
  • Childcare resource and referral
  • Early intervention and prevention programs
  • Family resource centers
  • Mental/behavioral health
  • Parent advocacy and advocacy training
  • Parenting classes and support groups
  • Preschool and school
  • Public health
  • Social services

*One Call for Kids is a member of the HELP ME GROW National Network established to improve access to community services for young children and their families.
